Santa Fe, New Mexico - 5/22/2016 10:00 am to 5/22/2016 04:00 pm
Cruise down to the plaza when Mayor Javier Gonzales proclaims Santa Fe’s official Lowrider Day. Catch the 100-car lowrider procession from Fort Marcy, music by DJ Jason Crawford, a hopper demonstration, and an awards presentation. Free admission for NM residents to “Con Cariño: Artists Inspired by Lowriders” at the New Mexico Museum of Art and “Lowriders, Hoppers, and Hot Rods: Car Culture of Northern New Mexico” at the New Mexico History Museum.
Bring the family to the Museum of Art from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and create your own mini paper Lowrider, add pinstripes to coloring pages, make a screen print, and see great art! Then check out some lowrider bikes and meet the young people who make them!
