Sherwood, Oregon - 8/28/2021 9:00 am to 8/28/2021 4:00 pm
Cars, music, cars, food, cars, vendors… and more CARS!
The 30th Annual Les Schwab Tire Centers’ Cruisin’ Sherwood Classic & Custom Car Show is the perfect event for the entire family. Whether you enjoy looking at the classic and custom cars, hearing the Engine Blow Contest, smelling the burning rubber at the Burnout Contest, listening to music or having a bite to eat, Cruisin’ is a blast for everyone.
Classic cars provide attendees with the opportunity to sample automotive history, featuring cars that may date to the earliest days of motorized transportation.
Custom cars are the car lovers pride and joy: displaying a particular art in bringing new life to old cars, updating cars with the latest in shiny details, and maybe even a chance to brag about the countless hours spent working on your prized possession — that’s what a car show is all about.
Wake up early on Saturday, August 28th and start your day with the traditional five-second “Horn Blow,” kicking off the event at 9 a.m. Downtown Sherwood welcomes as many as 400 head-turning and eyebrow-raising cars that will line the streets of Old Town Sherwood.
Where else can you take a step back in time while viewing automobile history — and introducing the younger generation to a car that did not drive itself? Peer under the hoods and see the differences decades have made to our favorite mode of transportation.
Play the guessing game on the make, model, and year of the cars. Marvel at the detail, time and money these passionate car lovers put into their cars. For many, this is not just a hobby, but a real love and appreciation for the beauty and history of their car. Cars are just one reason to enjoy Cruisin’ Sherwood. Vendors with arts, crafts, clothes, home products and car-related products flank the streets with the pristine vehicles. The Kids Zone is the perfect place for shows, music, games, and a prize wheel. The stage in the Kids Zone hosts entertainment geared towards the younger generation.
Come hungry! Many of the food vendors inspire attendees to come to Cruisin’ for their food as well as to see the cars. From the hand-dipped ice cream bars, the amazing gyros (get in line early), to shaved ice and head-turning plates of noodles, experiencing the food at Cruisin’ Sherwood is a must.
Need a break from walking? Head over to the stage to listen to some great local bands. It’s the perfect opportunity to rest while you partake in local beers and wines in our beer garden and consider relaxing in the festive atmosphere until 10 p.m.
The diverse array of activities and experiences will have you wishing that Sherwood’s Cruisin’ lasted the whole weekend!
